A landmark decision was made by the organizers of the "Miss Netherlands" competition - after 35 years of existence, the event ceases its activities in its usual format. The reason for the dramatic changes lies in the rethinking of outdated approaches to assessing women solely based on external parameters, reports euro-pulse.ru.
The traditional beauty contest will be replaced by a modern online platform aimed at supporting and comprehensive development of young women. The new project will focus on current topics of self-realization, psychological well-being and social activity.
The competition, which originated back in the 1930s as “Miss Holland” and then transformed into “Miss Netherlands”, has undergone changes. The organizers emphasize that the main goal of the new format will not be to demonstrate external attractiveness, but to reveal the potential and talents of the participants.
