The Academy of Preventive Diplomacy (APD) of the UN Regional Center for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia in Ashgabat announced the enrollment of students for 2024, reports the publication “Turkmenistan: Golden Age”.

Studying at the Academy is a good opportunity for proactive youth from the countries of Central Asia and Afghanistan to improve their knowledge in the field of youth leadership.

The selection will be held on a competitive basis. Selected candidates will be able to learn the basics of preventive diplomacy, conflict prevention strategies, information security, human rights and intercultural communication. They will also become familiar with leadership and effective communication skills.

Upon completion of the training, participants will enter the existing interregional network of APD graduates and will be involved in the activities of UN structures.

To participate, you must fill out an application, write a motivation letter and prepare a short video. These materials will be the first stage of selection. The finalists will have an online interview.

The age of the candidates is from 18 to 29 years. They must speak Russian or English. Applications will be accepted until January 31, 2024. More detailed information can be obtained by emailing aziz.kuliyev@un.org.
