From December 5 to 14, a table tennis training camp is being held in the capital of Turkmenistan, organized by the Table Tennis Federation of Turkmenistan with the support of the State Sports Committee and the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF).
The gathering is led by international ITTF expert Evgeniy Timchenko, honored coach of Kazakhstan and senior coach of the Kazakhstan youth table tennis team.
About 60 players and 12 coaches from Ashgabat, as well as athletes from Mary, Turkmenabat, Seydi and Farap are participating in the camp.
The gathering is held within the framework of a special ITTF program “Participation Program”, which is aimed at development, popularization, identification of talents, teaching the training and competitive process in table tennis.
Separate work is also carried out with trainers to improve their qualifications. According to Evgeny Timchenko, Turkmenistan has all the conditions for the development of table tennis, as well as talented young players who have great potential.
Chairman of the Table Tennis Federation of Turkmenistan Agamurad Allanazarov noted that table tennis in the country is becoming increasingly popular and holding such events contributes to its successful development.
It is worth noting that the participation of Turkmen athletes in training camps under the guidance of experienced international experts gives reason to hope for good prospects for the development of table tennis in the country. Turkmen players are already showing good results in international competitions, and with the further development of this sport in the country, their success can only grow.
