In Kazan, a meeting was held between the Consul General of Turkmenistan Guych Garayev and the editor-in-chief of the newspaper “Respublika Tatarstan” Alexey Ugarov.
According to the press service of the Turkmen diplomatic department, during the meeting, Garayev presented Ugarov with an accreditation certificate, which officially recognizes him as a correspondent for a foreign media outlet under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
The parties also discussed the prospects for cooperation between the two countries in the field of journalism. In particular, they discussed the possibilities of organizing an exchange of experience between journalists from Turkmenistan and Tatarstan, holding online lectures for students of journalism departments, and signing an agreement between the newspaper “Respublika Tatarstan” and the corresponding newspaper of Turkmenistan.
Alexey Ugarov has been working in journalism since 1996. Before being appointed editor-in-chief of the “Respublika Tatarstan” newspaper, he held the position of chief editor at the “Tatar-inform” news agency. In June 2023, Ugarov was appointed to the position of editor-in-chief of the newspaper “Respublika Tatarstan”, the founders of which are the Cabinet of Ministers and the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan.
