In the city of Arkadag, located just 30 kilometers from Ashgabat, the number of TV channels available to residents has increased to 235.
As the Turkmenaragatnashyk Agency reported, this became possible thanks to the introduction of GPON technology, which allows the simultaneous use of high-speed Internet, IPTV and telephone network at speeds of up to 1 Gigabit per second via a fiber optic network in each home.
GPON technology was installed and put into operation in buildings for various purposes and residential complexes in the city. The total length of the city's internal cable communication network was 258.8 kilometers.
As part of the implementation of GPON technology, 20 thousand telephone numbers were installed in the city of Arkadag. Also, 235 high-quality TV channels are broadcast to citizens, the number of which will constantly increase.
The introduction of this technology makes it possible for residents of the city of Arkadag to use modern telecommunications services, including high-speed Internet, IPTV and telephone communications.
