On August 19, in Ashgabat, viewers will be able to enjoy short films created within the framework of the unique “Shoot in 48 Hours” project. This is reported by the Go Viral community in Turkmenistan, which organizes this event.
The film show will permit viewers to see the diversity and talent of modern Turkmen filmmakers, communicate with young directors and actors, and get motivated to participate in the 48HFR competition next year.
Viewers will be presented with 18 short films on various topics. Each film was created by a separate team in 48 hours, subject to certain conditions of the competition. For example, films had to be made in a certain genre and with the participation of an obligatory character - this year it was a clown.
During breaks between viewings, it will be possible to ask questions to the participants, discuss ideas and techniques for short films.
The screening will be from 18:00 to 20:00 at the American Center. Entrance - by appointment.
The 48 Hour Film Race will be held in 2023 for the eighth time. It involves professional and amateur teams from Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan. This year, the winners of the competition will have the opportunity to study free of charge at the New York Film Academy.
