A new education project in Dubai is preparing to transform traditional schooling by integrating video games into the classroom. Citizens School, under the leadership of Dr. Adil Alzarouni, is developing a program that will begin introducing children to gaming technologies from the age of three, reports russianemirates.com.

The project aims to change public perception of video games. According to Dr. Alzarouni, the gaming industry, which is larger than the music and film industries combined, offers great opportunities for the professional development of youth. In the UAE, it is predicted that a quarter of the population will become active gamers, and in Saudi Arabia this figure will reach 60%.

Particular attention is paid to working with parents, many of whom have a negative perception of their children’s passion for video games. Dr. Alzarouni emphasizes the importance of a balanced approach, where play becomes part of a child's holistic development, combining mental and physical activity.

“Gaming experiences combined with education are an innovative and forward-thinking solution that requires support from both society and parents,” says the project leader.
