Actors from Turkmenistan took part in the Alexander Kalyagin International Theater School

Actor and director of the State Russian Drama Theater named after A.S. Pushkin Bahtiyar Abayev and actor of the Main Academic Drama Theater named after S. Turkmenbashi the Great Azat Didarov took part in the XVI International Summer Theater School of the Union of Theater Workers of Russia. The artistic director of this project is People's Artist of the RSFSR Alexander Kalyagin.

According to the publication “Turkmenistan: Golden Age”, young Turkmen artists have a wealth of work experience behind them. Shortly before the trip, Bahtiyar staged the play “Women of the 41st” on the stage of his native theater, and Azat Didarov played one of the main roles in the play “Oh, you women!”.

Within the framework of the International Summer Theater School, they underwent a month-long intensive course with well-known figures of theatrical art in Russia to improve their skills.

The program of the School included creative meetings, master classes in acting and speech techniques, training in stage combat and plasticity, as well as staging performances in various genres.

Casting was organized for the selection of actors to participate in the performances. Azat Didarov read Mercutio's monologue from “Romeo and Juliet” in Turkmen at the casting, which pleasantly surprised the jury.

Public screenings of the graduation performances of the school were held at theater venues in Moscow and the Moscow region - in the STD RF Theater Center “On Strastnoy”, the Boyar Chambers of the STD RF, in the Istra Drama Theater and the Moscow Regional Theater of Drama and Comedy.

At the end of the educational course, all participants received diplomas and certificates of advanced training, the source notes.
