1. Turkmenistan has developed a project to extinguish the “Darvaza” gas crater. It caught fire more than 50 years ago in the Karakum Desert due to the collapse of an exploration mine. The project is currently at the approval stage. The essence of the project is to limit the flow of gas to this emergency well.

2. Six Turkmen schoolchildren won bronze medals at the first International Chemistry Olympiad named after Abu Rayhan Beruni in Khiva. The national team of Turkmenistan was headed by Serdar Begenjov, a teacher of chemistry at secondary school № 17 of Halach etrap, Lebap velayat. The Olympiad united over 100 participants from 15 countries of the world.

3. A meeting of representatives of the business circles of Kyrgyzstan and Turkmenistan was held at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan, as a result of which more than 20 documents on cooperation in various areas of joint activities were signed. The Turkmen-Kyrgyzstan round table was organized by the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in Turkmenistan, the National Investment Agency under the President of Kyrgyzstan and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan.

4. A large batch of laboratory reagents for a general blood test was delivered to Turkmenistan. The purchase and supply of reagents to the country was carried out by the United Nations Development Program within the framework of the project “Response to COVID-19 in Turkmenistan”, funded by the World Bank. The total cost of the purchased reagents amounted to 1 million 300 thousand dollars.

5. Astana is hosting an international forum of volunteers, which is attended by 400 representatives from 34 countries. In Kazakhstan, the volunteer movement is of particular importance. Over the past three years, the number of volunteer organizations in the country has increased to 680, they include more than 200 thousand people. Within the framework of the development of the volunteer movement, 2024 was declared by the heads of the CIS countries as the year of volunteering within the Commonwealth.

6. In Germany, less than a year before the start of Euro 2024, the official mascot of the tournament was presented. They became a popular children's toy - a teddy bear, which appeared in Germany at the beginning of the XX century. The bear first visited one of the German schools, and was later presented to the public at a friendly match between Germany and Colombia.

7. The youth teams of Turkmenistan in 3x3 basketball take part in the matches of the qualifying stage of the League of Nations in Doha. Turkmen basketball players, together with the teams of Qatar, Jordan and Saudi Arabia, which formed the Asia-West conference, will compete for a ticket to the final stage of the 2023 Nations League, which will be held from September 13 to 15 in Ulaanbaatar. As part of the Turkmen delegation, 15 people arrived in Doha, including 12 athletes, Secretary General of the Basketball Federation of Turkmenistan, member of the FIBA Asia Executive Committee Bahar Mahtumova, head coach of the men's team Toyly Bayryev, head coach of the girls' team Islam Tachmammedov.

8. The Iranian national football team defeated the team of Uzbekistan with a score of 1:0 in the final match of the Cup of Nations of the Central Asian Football Association. The ball was scored by the Iranian striker of Turkmen origin Serdar Azmoun in the 48th minute. The meeting was served by the Russian team of referees headed by Kirill Levnikov. In the match for the third place, the team of Kyrgyzstan was defeated by the national team of Oman - 0:1. This CAFA-2023 Nations Cup, which started on June 10, was the first in history.

9. The open championship of Turkmenistan in the Korean martial art of Hapkido ended in Ashgabat, in which about 170 athletes from all over the country took part. Athletes fought for a place in the regional teams, which in the future will represent Turkmenistan at international hapkido competitions. At present time, more than 500 athletes are engaged in hapkido branches in Turkmenistan.
