Today, the International Scientific and Practical Conference “Traditions of Folk Art and Folk Dance” was held in the conference hall of the health-improving center “Dayanch” of the NTZ “Avaza”.
Cultural scientists, art historians, cultural figures, heads of choreographic groups from the capital and regions of Turkmenistan, as well as from the countries participating in the “Awaza-2023’ International Dance and Folklore Festival took part in the scientific forum.
The experts focused on the preservation and improvement of dance art in the centuries-old process of folk art.
Representatives of Turkmenistan told the guests that today the national choreographic art is actively developing not only in the capital, but also in all cities and villages of the country, where modern cultural centers and art schools have been built that contribute to the development of folk art and the professional training of future artists. Separate messages were devoted to ancient ritual dances associated with the traditions and original customs of the Turkmens and other peoples of the world.
The reports of the conference participants were accompanied by a demonstration of dance traditions typical for different countries.
An exhibition was opened in the “Dayanch” foyer, the exhibits of which were museum valuables, samples of crafts and arts and crafts, including Turkmen national instruments.
The festival program will continue at 18:00 on the open stage of the Avaza park with interactive fountains. Today, this famous stage is completely given over to foreign ethno and choreographic groups from Iran, India, Kazakhstan, China, Russia, Romania, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. Spectators are waiting for an unforgettable and bright holiday of friendship and creativity.
