1. A new bus route is being launched from Ashgabat to Avaza. It will start running daily from June 11. The starting point of the route will be the International Bus Station, from where the bus will depart at 6 am, and in the opposite direction at 13:00.
2. On June 17, Mashhad will host a representative Turkmen-Iranian business forum with the participation of business structures of the two countries. The event is organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Mashhad and the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Iranian Commission for Economic Cooperation. The forum is aimed at intensifying the dialogue between the business circles of Turkmenistan and Iran.
3. The State Music and Drama Theater of the Lebap velayat staged a new performance based on the novel by Chingiz Aytmatov “The White Steamboat”. The plot is based on the dramatic fate of a Kyrgyz boy named Nurgazy, who was brilliantly played by actress Dursun Taganova. The performance was directed by Perhat Hudayberenov.
4. About 200 purebred Turkmen horses took part in the equestrian festival that was held the day before in the city of Bojnurd. The festival is held annually in Northern Khorasan, a border region with Turkmenistan, which is considered one of the world's largest genetic reserves of purebred Turkmen horses.
5. In Ashgabat, in honor of the 224th anniversary of the birth of the great Russian poet Alexander Sergeevich Pushkin, a solemn laying of flowers at his monument in Pushkin Square was held. Representatives of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Ashgabat, students of the Joint Turkmen-Russian secondary school named after Pushkin, ambassadors of foreign states accredited in Turkmenistan came to pay tribute to the poet. Poems of the poet were recited at the foot of the monument. School students performed the works of A.S. Pushkin in different languages of the world.

6. Italian angler Alessandro Biancardi caught the largest catfish in the world - 285 centimeters long. The Italian caught a giant fish on a spinning rod. According to the man, the fight with the catfish took almost 40 minutes before he managed to pull the fish ashore. After the photo shoot, the Italian released his trophy into the river. If documented, Biancardi's catch will be a world record. The previous record belongs to the German Stefan Seuss, who caught a catfish 281 cm long.
7. The 23rd annual Golden Trailer Awards will be held in Los Angeles on June 29, honoring the creative teams that turn two-hour films into two-minute trailers. 8. The first round of the Football Federation Cup of Turkmenistan has ended. On Tuesday “Altyn asyr” defeated “Ahal” with a score of 2:1, “Merv” outplayed “Ashgabat” with a score of 4:1, and “Shagadam” with a minimum score took over “Energetik”. 9. Saparmurat Atabayev from Ashgabat entered the top three at the zonal tournament of the World Chess Cup held in Dushanbe. After 9 rounds, he scored 6,5 points. The Uzbek grandmaster Nodirbek Yakubboyev and the international master Alisher Suleymenov from Kazakhstan also had the same number of points, who outstripped the Turkmen grandmaster only by additional criteria.
10. Saudi “Al-Ittihad” have officially announced the signing of striker Karim Benzema. The Frenchman signed a two-year contract, during which he will earn about 200 million euros. Karim Benzema spent 14 seasons at “Real Madrid”. He scored 353 goals and became the second goal scorer in the history of the Madrid club.
