On the territory of the Guryhovdan reserve of the Kopetdag State Natural Reserve, a foal of a wild ass was born.
According to the Neutral Turkmenistan newspaper, a camera with a strong zoom lens captured the little kulan calf. Kulans are very cautious animals, especially when it comes to offspring, and it is almost impossible to get close to them.
In the reserve, they said that a whole family of kulans lives in the open area among the hills of Guryhovdan - a male and three females, and last year there was also an addition to the family.
Ecologists monitor the animals, and also make sure that all disturbance factors are excluded. The nearest source of water, where kulans go to drink, is kept clean and they try to feed it in winter.
