Linguists officially made the name Pele part of the Portuguese language

The surname of the great Brazilian football player Pele has become part of the Portuguese language as an adjective, reports the “MIR 24” portal with reference to the France 24 agency.

The word “Pele”, meaning something extraordinary, incomparable or unique, is officially included in the Portuguese language dictionaries, however, so far only in their online version.

Previously, this word was used in the same sense in colloquial speech among Brazilians, as they call a person who is unsurpassed in his field, a virtuoso and a master of his craft.
