Today in Ashgabat, in the martial arts sports complex of the capital's Olympic village, on the instructions of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, a ceremony was held to honor Turkmen athletes who won prizes in major international competitions this year.
The participants listened to the welcoming address of the head of state, who addressed his congratulations to the members of the national teams of Turkmenistan.
Under the storm of applause, the winning athletes were presented with valuable gifts on behalf of and on behalf of the head of state Serdar Berdimuhamedov, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
In honor of the heroes of sports, the National Anthem of Turkmenistan was played under the arches. The winners made a lap of honor around the arena of the sports complex under the green flag of the Motherland.
Then there were demonstration performances in judo, karate, sambo, taekwondo, Greco-Roman and freestyle wrestling, as well as in the national wrestling goresh.
A concert was prepared for all participants of the celebration, in which masters of the arts of the country performed.
Members of the Government, heads and representatives of the Mejlis, military and law enforcement agencies, the diplomatic corps of foreign states and international organizations accredited in Turkmenistan, sectoral ministries and departments, public associations, universities, and the media took part in the solemn event.
An exhibition with numerous awards won by Turkmen athletes at international competitions at various levels was launched in the lobby of the sports complex, reported the website of the Ashgabat city administration.
