1. Within the framework of the state visit of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov to the State of Qatar, a solemn ceremony was held to open the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Doha. The solemn event was attended by heads and representatives of diplomatic missions accredited in this country, as well as the Qatari Foreign Ministry.
2. A new cultural and entertainment park will be built in Ashgabat. It will appear in the Choganly residential complex of the Bagtyyarlyk etrap. The Ministry of Construction and Architecture of Turkmenistan has announced a tender for the work. Applications and proposals will be accepted until May 2, 2023.
3. The Law “On the Mejlis of Turkmenistan” came into force. The new Law defines the Mejlis as a representative body exercising legislative power in accordance with the Constitution of Turkmenistan. The Mejlis consists of 125 deputies. A citizen of Turkmenistan who has reached the age of 25 by the election day and has been permanently residing in Turkmenistan for the previous ten years may be elected as a deputy of the Mejlis.
4. The hyakimlik of Ashgabat reminds the possibility to pay for housing and communal services through the digital portal e.ashgabat.gov.tm. Through this portal, you can pay online bills for water, garbage, utilities. To do this, it is enough to have a device with Internet access and a bank card. On the e.ashgabat.gov.tm website, you can also order the necessary certificates.
5. Ashgabat hosted an international conference dedicated to the main directions and opportunities for the development of tourism. Representatives of the tourism sector from China, Russia, Bulgaria, Croatia, Iran, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Türkiye and the Republic of Korea gathered in the conference hall of the Archabil hotel. All of them showed interest in developing further professional relations with their Turkmen colleagues in the field of tourism.
6. Two new etraps appeared in the city of Arkadag - Kyarizek and Gorjava. They are formed in accordance with the resolution of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan. The document also instructs the Ministry of Agriculture and Environmental Protection of Turkmenistan to make a description of the administrative boundaries of the etraps of the city of Arkadag in the prescribed manner.
7. The international airport of the capital of Kazakhstan will switch to using Face ID technology instead of a boarding pass. The document on the transition to the new system was signed at an exhibition in Amsterdam. The transition will be carried out in cooperation with the Swiss company SITA. Astana Airport is recognized as the best airport among the capitals of Central Asia, it is in second place among the busiest in the Central Asian region and in 12th place in terms of popularity among the CIS countries.
