The international airport of the capital of Kazakhstan will switch to using Face ID technology instead of a boarding pass, “Interfax” reported.
The document on the transition to the new system was signed at the Passenger Terminal Expo-2023 exhibition in Amsterdam. The transition will be carried out in cooperation with the Swiss company SITA (Societe Internationale de Telecommunications Aeronautiques).
SITA is ready to provide equipment for passing checkpoints at the airport. The operation of the system is based on the recognition of biometric indicators of passengers' faces. This will reduce the time spent from check-in to boarding the aircraft and increase the comfort of passengers.
