The consequences of elongating bad weather are being eliminated in Georgia, reports “Habar 24”.
All week there was a heavy snowfall in the east of the country, which caused problems on the roads. The highways had to be cleared day and night. However, because of the large amount of precipitations, special equipment didn’t manage, that is why from time to time the road traffic had to be restricted on areas of the international roads.
In the western part of the country problems were caused by a strong wind. In the village of Lanchkhuti one person died right in the car, a tree fell on the automobile, it was uprooted by a gust of wind. In the region more than 120 residential houses, 33 multi apartment buildings, four schools and three children gardens were damaged. The supports of power transmission lines were destroyed. Part of the settlements is de-energized and disconnected from the gas supply and water supply.
