As per the indications of 11 months of 2022, Turkmenistan entered the top-10 largest foreign trade partners of Uzbekistan. This was reported by Trend with the reference to the Uzbek State Statistics Committee.
The trade turnover between Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan increased by 12.7 percent from January to November this year compared to the same period last year and amounted to 858.6 million US dollars.
Thus, Uzbekistan imported Turkmen goods worth of 674.3 million, and exported to Turkmenistan - 184.3 million US dollars.
The source notes that last year the trade turnover between Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan amounted to 881.9 million US dollars, which is for 61% higher than in 2020.
Let’s remind that in the first half year of 2022, the trade turnover between Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan amounted to 418.2 million US dollars.
