Over the last 10 years, women around the world have shown increased levels of stress, sadness and aggression, reports the Kazakhstani website Infomburo.kz with reference to materials from the “BBC News Russian Service”.

Gallup conducted a study of the state of mind of men and women from 150 countries over ten years. In 2012, both men and women showed roughly the same levels of negative emotions: anger, sadness, stress, and anxiety. But already nine years later, women surpassed men on these points by an average of 6%.

This gap is especially noticeable in the results of a survey of women in Cambodia, India, Pakistan and Morocco. Sociologists suggest that because of the pandemic in these countries, there was a suspension of progress in the field of education for women and a sharp decline in the overall standard of living due to the fact that some sectors of the economy suffered serious losses.

Thus, Gallup concludes that over 10 years, women have become on average 6% angrier and more stressed.
