Japan has lifted the COVID restrictions that have been in place in the country for the past two and a half years. Relevant information is posted on the official website of the Embassy of Japan in Turkmenistan.

It is already possible to come to the country from October 11, 2022 without tours and accompaniment of agents.

In accordance with the information, entry rules are softened: it is enough for those entering the country to present a certificate of triple vaccination with one of the types of vaccines recognized by WHO, or a negative PCR test taken no earlier than 72 hours before departure. Arrival test and quarantine have been cancelled.

In addition, most of the restrictions that were in place for entry for business and educational purposes are being lifted. For this purpose, the existing ban on the issuance of tourist visas for individual tourists was lifted.

Before the start of the pandemic in 2019, 32 million tourists visited Japan.
