Turkmen students took two prizes at the International Olympiad in Financial Security in Sochi

For Turkmen students, participation in the finals of the 2nd International Olympiad on Financial Security ended with two prizes, the Neutral Turkmenistan newspaper reports.

In the nomination "international relations", the only first place among all students of the participating countries was won by Baynazar Nepesov, a representative of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan. In the same nomination, the second place was taken by a student of the International University for the Humanities and Development Atajan Metjiev.

Now an annual event, this competitive event is held on behalf of Russian President Vladimir Putin in order to improve the financial literacy of young people. This intellectual marathon started back in May, when a large-scale qualifying round was held in the participating countries in four Olympic categories: economics and financial security, law, international relations, informatics and information security.

At this initial stage, a total of about ten thousand potential contenders competed to reach the final. Among them were 115 students from fifteen higher educational institutions of Turkmenistan. Of these, in turn, as a result of a careful selection, which took place in the format of a test competition, organized under the auspices of two ministries - education; finance and economics, only 10 best of the best experts managed to earn the right to participate in the final (final) round of the prestigious international Olympic competition.

The final stage of the 2nd International Student Olympiad on Financial Security took place in the Sirius Science and Art Park in Sochi (Russia). Representatives of 12 countries became participants of the Olympiads. Among them, in addition to the host country, are also Armenia, Belarus, Brazil, India, Kazakhstan, China, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and South Africa.

The winners and prize-winners of the Olympiad receive advantages in admission to specialized partner universities of the International Network Institute (IAN), as well as the opportunity for internships at Rosfinmonitoring and organizations in the financial sector.
