At the stadium “Mangistau Arena” in Aktau (Kazakhstan), the open Asian Cup-2022 in SAMBO ended.
The competition brought together more than 200 athletes from 9 countries who competed for prizes in 7 weight categories among men, women and in combat sambo.
As a result of the three-day tournament, the team of Turkmenistan won 11 medals. Of these, 1 gold, two silver and eight bronze.
Aylar Melikova, who became the winner in combat sambo in the weight category up to 50 kg, won the award of the highest standard as part of the national team of Turkmenistan.
Begench Baltayev won two silver medals in combat sambo (up to 88 kg) and sports sambo (up to 79 kg).
Bronze medals were awarded to: in sports sambo - Muhammetmyrat Babekov (up to 58 kg), Annageldi Annasahedov (up to 88 kg), Nazar Lolleov (over 98 kg), and in combat sambo - Yusup Tanryberdyev (up to 58 kg), David Avchyan (up to 71 kg), Sapar Dovletov (up to 79 kg), Annageldi Annasahedov (up to 88 kg) and Veronika Rus (up to 54 kg).
