Today, in Ashgabat the 9th meeting of the Turkmen-Armenian Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation was held in the building of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan.
The meeting was co-chaired by Vice-Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Sh.Abdrahmanov – form the Turkmen side, and from Armenian side the Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructures of the Republic of Armenia Gnel Sanosyan.
During the meeting the information on the implementation of the decisions of the 8th meeting of the Commission, held in Yerevan on March 2017 was listened.
The parties reviewed Turkmenistan's exports to the Republic of Armenia of oil and gas, agricultural, food and textile industries, and also agreed to contribute to increasing the volume of trade turnover between the two countries and expanding the range of exported goods through the involvement of business circles of the two countries.
The participants of the meeting expressed interest in strengthening contacts in industry, transport, construction, architecture, agriculture, as well as in the fuel and energy sector.
The sides also spoke in favor of deepening contacts in the fields of science, culture, sports, tourism, education, health and the development of cooperation in the field of mass media.
In accordance with the results of the meeting, a corresponding protocol was signed, the Turkmen Foreign Ministry reports.
