President Serdar Berdimuhamedov on behalf of the people and the Government of Turkmenistan sent sincere congratulations and best wishes to His Majesty Charles III, King of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, on his accession to the throne.

In his message, the head of state expressed the readiness of Turkmenistan to further develop mutually beneficial cooperation with the United Kingdom in the political, trade, economic, social, cultural, humanitarian and other fields, announced the “Watan” news program of the Turkmen television today.

Taking this pleasant opportunity, the President of Turkmenistan addressed His Majesty Charles III wishes of good health, happiness and prosperity, and all the people of the United Kingdom - peace, progress and prosperity.
73 aged Prince Charles, who took the name Charles III, officially took the throne on September 10. This happened two days after the death of his mother, Queen Elizabeth II. She died at Balmoral Castle in Scotland at the age of 96. Karl called her a source of inspiration and an example for him and his family. He promised to serve the British people until the end of his days and to defend the constitutional principles of the state.

In 1996, Charles, then the Prince of Wales, visited Turkmenistan within the framework of a Central Asian tour. During the visit, he participated in the official opening of the British Embassy in Ashgabat and the language center at the Dovletmammet Azadi Turkmen National Institute of World Languages. Within the framework of the cultural program, the future monarch visited the Turkmen carpet museum in the capital, as well as the monuments of Ancient Merv in the Mary velayat, where he got acquainted with the work of the British archaeological expedition.
