In the Republic of Altay, the international internship of the Russian geographical society was conducted, writes elaltay.ru.
For participation in the event to Altay arrived the delegates from Turkmenistan, Mongolia, Kazakhstan, Indonesia, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan took part. The opening of the internship was held at the Gorno-Altaisk State University.
The participants of the program met with the representatives of the regional Ministry of Education, Folks Friendship Centers, the Altai Biosphere Reserve, teachers of the Gorno-Altaisk State University, the Association of guides-instructors and guides of the republic.
During the meeting the issues of green economy, preservations of specially protected areas, cultural and historical monuments.
The participants of the international internship visited the Gorno-Altaisk Botanical Garden, Chemalskiy, Mayminskiy and Turochanskiy districts, including specially protected areas.
