Citizens entering Turkmenistan will have to observe weekly self-isolation

Turkmen citizens arriving on the territory of Turkmenistan after private trips by air will have to undergo an obligatory 7-day self-isolation at home. The publication Orient reported about this on Friday with reference to the competent state bodies of Turkmenistan.

For citizens of Turkmenistan arriving in the country from abroad after business trips, only 3-day self-isolation is provided as a preventive measure.

Both categories of citizens must have all the necessary documents with them, in particular, a medical certificate with the result of testing for COVID-19 in Turkmen, Russian or English, made by PCR method no earlier than 48 (forty eight) hours before the flight, and a certificate or certificate of vaccination against COVID-19.

According to the source, other, more stringent restrictions in the form of long-term quarantine are not provided, with the exception of possible special cases related to the detection of the disease.

Let us remind that today the “Turkmenistan” Airlines has resumed regular flights on the route Ashgabat-Dubai-Turkmenabat, Ashgabat-Moscow-Turkmenbashi and Ashgabat-Kazan-Turkmenabat.
