Turkmenistan Airlines published rules for passengers of international flights

Rules for passengers of Turkmenistan Airlines published to comply with during international flights. This is stated on the official website of the company.

Before planning a trip abroad, company Turkmenistan Airlines recommends reviewing the current epidemiological requirements of the destination country on the official websites of the International Air Transport Association (IATA) and the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan. Each passenger must act in accordance with the epidemiological requirements of the destination country.

In the absence or improper execution of documents (COVID-19 test results, completed questionnaires, Health Declaration, various forms and formats, as well as other required documents) that meet the requirements of the destination country during the current restrictions related to the new COVID-19 coronavirus infection, the company has the right to refuse a passenger boarding an aircraft.

Upon arrival at the airport before check-in, passengers departing to Turkmenistan and transiting Turkmenistan are required to:

  • Provide a PCR medical document (certificate) with a negative test result for COVID-19 in Turkmen, Russian or English, made not earlier than 48 (forty-eight) hours before the flight, as well as a reference document or certificate of vaccination. Without this document (PCR test), a passenger cannot board an aircraft.
  • Fill out the form (Form on the health status and location of the passenger in connection with COVID-19). This form is filled out by passengers in two copies to be provided at the airport terminal check-in desk before boarding an aircraft, one can also download this form here;
  • Wear a medical mask in the airport terminal and inside the aircraft throughout a flight (children under 5 years of age should not use the mask due to the risk of suffocation). It is recommended to change masks every 2 hours.

The company notes that the results of antibody testing, the results of other types of tests, with the exception of PCR tests, cannot be used to confirm the COVID-19 infection free for these purposes.
To recap, Turkmenistan suspended all international flights in March 2020. In the near future, it is planned to resume flights with the UAE and Germany. Flights to these countries will be made once a week, as it was before the pandemic.
