The construction of a new park of culture and recreation “Tashkent” on the former park “Gunesh” along Magtymguly Avenue in Ashgabat, with an area of more than 30 thousand square meters, is nearing completion.

The main part of planned work has already done. The construction of sidewalks and alleys has been completed, parking is ready, and the lawn has been laid.

The territory has changed significantly. There are small copies of the Tashkent TV tower, the “Ezgulik” monument (a similar arch was made at the entrance to Independence Square in Tashkent) and other sights have been recreated on the territory of the park.

One of the attractions of the new friendship park will be the territory of Ecopark, which opened in Tashkent several years ago. Here, as in the capital of Uzbekistan, a variety of sports grounds and paths will be located. Playgrounds with slides, swings, labyrinths and rope ladders will be equipped for children.

Let us remind that the intention to build a park with the name “Tashkent” in Ashgabat became known in February 2021.

The construction of the “Tashkent” culture and recreation park began in the Turkmen capital in August 2021. The park will include more than twenty objects imitating the sights of the Uzbek capital. The construction contractor is a member of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs – ES “Zehinli ish”.
