Blue Sky Studios, famous for its “Ice Age” cartoon series, has been shut down by The Walt Disney Company. In this regard, the studio released a farewell video in which Scrat from the “Ice Age”, known to all fans nevertheless reached the goal and ate an acorn. The animal has been hunting him for 20 years since the release of the first part of the cartoon.
The decision to close Blue Sky Studios was made in February 2021. As informs daily.afisha.ru publication, this was due to the fact, that the pandemic damaged both the film business and Disneyland theme parks and the corporation's cruise ships.
In addition to the five parts of the “Ice Age”, the studio also released such full-length cartoons as “Horton”, “Ferdinand”, “The Peanuts Movie”, “Epic”, “Rio” and “Rio 2”.
