Today, on the second day of his state visit to Ashgabat, President of the Republic of India Ram Nath Kovind visited the Turkmenbashi Spirituality Mosque in Kipchak, where he paid tribute to the memory of the first President of Turkmenistan Saparmurat Niyazov, laying flowers at his family Mausoleum, the Information Program "Watan" of the Turkmen Television reported.
Then the Indian leader proceeded to the Independence National Park, located in the south of the capital. Here the Head of India laid a wreath at the foot of the Turkmenistan’s Monument of Independence.
Then, accompanied by Honor Guards, Ram Nath Kovind went to the Alley of Honored Guests, where he planted a tree. This landmark of the Turkmen capital is a kind of symbol of Turkmenistan's policy of peacefulness, friendship and good neighborliness.
