In Turkmenistan, large families were given keys to comfortable apartments

The families with many children, who on the occasion of International Women's Day were handed the keys to new spacious apartments in a high-rise building of enhanced comfort with howling inspiration celebrated housewarming in Turkmenistan, today's issue of the newspaper “Neutral Turkmenistan” reports.

Solemn ceremonies honoring mothers who gave birth to and raised eight or more children, who, in accordance with the Decree of the President of Turkmenistan, were awarded the honorary title “Ene Mahri” (“Maternal tenderness”), and handing keys to comfortable apartments to large families were held not only in Ashgabat, but also in all velayat centers of the country.

As per the source, this year about three hundred women were awarded the honorary title “Ene Mahri”. This title is the highest mark of distinction, a sign of great recognition of the merits of the mother to society and the state, the invaluable contribution of wonderful women to the progress and prosperity of the Motherland.

On the eve of the International Women's Day, solemn ceremonies were also held in ministries, departments, their structural subdivisions, institutions and organizations, enterprises of all forms of ownership, presenting women with monetary gifts on behalf of the President of Turkmenistan. By tradition, they were received by all women, without exception, including students, schoolgirls and pupils of preschool institutions.

The care of motherhood and childhood, the preservation of family values, the development of professional, creative and intellectual potential of women have been elevated to the rank of priorities of the state policy of Turkmenistan. A striking example of this is the practical measures taken in the country to improve national legislation in this area, the successful implementation of programs aimed at preserving their health, the full development of children, social support for large families, as well as the State policy on gender equality.
