The limit for foreign players in the 2023/2024 season in the AFC Champions League and AFC Cup will be increased to 6 people. This decision was made by the Executive Committee of the AFC, reports the official website of the organization.
Clubs will be able to apply for the match 5 foreign players + 1 footballer had to be a citizen of a country that is part of the AFC.
Let us remind you, that in the AFC club tournaments there is a “3+1” limit, according to which each team can have a maximum of 4 foreign players in the application.
Already from this season, 35 players can be added to the application of football clubs instead of the usual 30.
