The winners of the international sculptors’ competition were awarded in Turkmenistan

The Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan has held an award ceremony for the winners of the international sculptor competition, according to the “Neutral Turkmenistan” newspaper.

The main theme of the competition was the motto of the current year: “Turkmenistan - Homeland of Peace and Trust”.

The competition was attended by professional sculptors, teachers of sculpture at secondary and higher educational institutions of Turkmenistan, Russia, Belarus, Uzbekistan, Armenia, Moldova, Ukraine, People's Republic of China, Republic of Korea, United Arab Emirates, Mongolia.

Artists from abroad sent photos of their work by e-mail.

The works of Turkmen and foreign sculptors, which were exhibited in the Exhibition Hall of the capital's Academy of Arts, were evaluated by a jury consisting of leading cultural figures of our country, faculty of higher and secondary specialized institutions of Turkmenistan, famous sculptors and art historians.

The State Academy of Arts of Turkmenistan hosted an online conference with participants and an award ceremony for the winners.

The Grand Prix of the competition was awarded to the sculptural composition “Turkmenistan - the Homeland of Neutrality” by Patdyk Patdykov, teacher of Children's Art School named after Nury Saryev of Ak Bugday etrap of Ahal velayat.

The Russian sculptor Igor Burganov presented the work “Horse” for the competition and became a laureate of the 1st degree.

Also, prizes for participants from foreign countries-representatives of Armenia, Mongolia, Uzbekistan, China, Ukraine: Hayk Tokmajyan, Bayasgalan Batmagnai, Nodirbek Usmanov, Jifei Li, Vasily Gogol.

Among the professional artists of Turkmenistan, Klychmurad Yarmamedov, Artyknazar Meredov, Amanmuhammet Hydyrov, Maksatmurad Hojainov became the laureates of the competition.

Among the young participants, the student of the State Academy of Arts of Turkmenistan Maksat Bazarov, the teacher of the children's art school of the city of Mary Muhammetniyaz Ovezaliev with the composition “Motherhood” distinguished themselves.

The competition was organized and conducted by the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan.
