The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and The State Bank for Foreign Economic Affairs of Turkmenistan, as part of a project to support digital transformation, are conducting training on "Mobile and internet platforms for banks" with participation of international experts: Mr. Viktor Dostov, Ph.D. in physics and mathematics, Chairman of the Council of the Electronic Money and Remittance Association, Vice-President of the Russian Microfinance Center and Mr. Pavel Shust, Ph.D. in political science, associate professor at St. Petersburg State University of Economics.

The digital banking platform is a tool that will help banks to transform their traditional service into a modern format. Considering the importance of a digital banking platform, financial institutions need to take the utmost responsibility in choosing the right solution. The training will allow the bank to implement and launch new digital products and services in the financial sector quickly and efficiently.

As part of the digital strategy implementation, the bank sets itself the task of ensuring higher performance indicators for new launched products. Having analyzed the business objectives of the bank, the experts developed a training program based on the best practices of implementing digital platforms in banks.

The training includes three sections:

Client acceptance: the use of new financial products and services, and how financial institutions are optimizing this process;
Measures to improve the security level: issues of protecting customer assets, typology of financial crimes and fraud, unauthorized access to internet banking;
Internet Banking: best practices for creating functional internet banking and successful user experience.

All training topics are illustrated with practical examples from the experience of Russian banks.

“Introduction of digital platforms will allow the bank to lay a good foundation for the future development and scaling of its business. It will also make it possible to optimally build the bank's interaction with the state and private sector,” emphasized international expert Mr. Viktor Dostov.

“The bank will have the opportunity to quickly bring new services to the market and gain competitive advantages due to increased flexibility, speed and efficiency of development,” said the project manager Ms. Jennet Annaberdiyeva.

The State Bank for Foreign Economic Affairs and other banks of Turkmenistan are introducing digital solutions and innovative banking products in accordance with the Programme for the Development of the Economic, Financial and Banking Sectors for 2018-2024 and the State Programme for the Development of the Digital Economy for 2021-2025.
