In the House of Culture of the city of Karabekaul of the Halach etrap of Lebap velayat, a celebration took place in honor of the Day of the Turkmen Carpet, the newspaper “Neutral Turkmenistan” reports.
In the foyer, a colorful exhibition of the magnificent products of the Halach enterprise of artistic carpet weaving, the only one of its kind in Lebap, was unfolded.
In addition to traditional large canvases, small items attracted attention in the exposition. They were created in the department of souvenirs of the enterprise on the orders of the population. These are covers for armchairs, car seats, sofas.
The original sketches of these items were developed by the artist of the enterprise Rozygeldy Velnazarov. In this position, he replaced his father - Batyr aga, who gave many years to his beloved work and went on a well-deserved rest. Nevertheless, the veteran continues to live with the cares of his family, helps his son with qualified advice. And this union of two creative people gives rise to interesting ideas.
And their sketches are embodied behind small-sized carpet looms.
“The collective of the souvenir department makes a significant contribution to the common goak,” says Maya Hanalyeva, chairman of the primary trade union organization of the enterprise. - Created carpets are in deserved demand. Among the best craftswomen of this department are Gulyaim Saparova, Bahar Halilova, Saparay Jomartova and other skilled craftswomen, whom we will celebrate together with the craftswomen from the main workshops on the Turkmen Carpet Festival.
