The delegation of Turkmenistan, led by Deputy Minister of Finance and Economy B. Yalakov, took part in the Third Meeting of the Arab Economic Cooperation Forum with the countries of Central Asia and the Republic of Azerbaijan, reports the press service of the Turkmen Foreign Ministry.
During the forum, the Turkmen side emphasized the importance of developing trade and economic partnership between Arab countries, Azerbaijan and the states of Central Asia. Particular attention was paid to the areas of trade, industry, transport, energy and environmental protection as priority areas for intensifying multilateral cooperation.
Within the framework of the visit, the delegation of Turkmenistan held a meeting with the head of the department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar. The parties discussed issues of bilateral interaction in the political, diplomatic, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian fields, noting the importance of exchanging visits at the highest level.
The conversation participants also stated that the development of relations between the two countries is facilitated by holding cultural days and meetings of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Qatari Commission.
