The President of Turkmenistan pointed out the need to update the theatrical repertoire in honor of the 30th anniversary of the country's independence and the 140th anniversary of the founding of Ashgabat, after hearing the report of the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Myahrijemal Mammedova at a Government meeting. This was reported in today's “Neutral Turkmenistan” newspaper.
The President drew the attention of the Deputy Prime Minister to the intensification of work on the preparation of programs on TV and radio channels dedicated to anniversary dates.
According to Mammedova, in honor of the 30th anniversary of the country's independence and the 140th anniversary of the founding of Ashgabat, cultural events were held, including exhibitions, creative meetings and competitions, concerts, propaganda campaigns, as well as celebrations on the occasion of the commissioning of social and cultural facilities. The Turkmen State Publishing Service has published 148 types of book products since the beginning of the year.
