The evening dedicated to Turkmenistan will be held within the framework of the “The Ramadan Tent” project in Moscow, “Turkmenistan: Golden Age” reports.
This annual cultural and educational project, organized by the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Moscow with the support of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of the Russian Federation and the Moscow
Government, was solemnly opened at the building of the Memorial Mosque on Poklonnaya Hill.
At sunset, everyone is invited here for Iftar - a traditional evening meal during the fasting period, which is accompanied by performances by creative teams.
“The Ramadan Tent” has been running for 16 years, but the festival was canceled last year due to restrictions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. Therefore, this year's cultural program is dedicated to the “reset”.
People especially need to reassess their values after such a difficult year, which has passed under the sign of a pandemic. The organizers point out that the holy month of Ramadan is the best time for this.
The Tent's design also follows the motto “It's Time to Blossom”: the abundance of green in the decor clearly indicates this.
During the month, the Tent will host thematic national evenings of the republics of the Russian Federation, as well as foreign and neighboring countries, halal industry evenings, round tables, social programs for disabled people, veterans, and special children's days.
