Turkmenportal office received a letter from Hyundai Engineering Co., Ltd. with congratulation of President Gurbanguly Berdimukhamedov and the Turkmen people on the 25th anniversary of Turkmenistan's neutrality and the Day of workers in oil and gas and geology industry.
“The legal status of Turkmenistan's permanent neutrality is respected throughout the world. Your country is one of the recognised peacekeeping centres on the planet. Following the principles of positive neutrality, Turkmenistan makes its significant contribution to the international dialogue for the sake of peace and harmony, affirming the high ideals of humanity,” the letter says.
Hyundai Engineering Co. Ltd. works in our country for 10 years, and during this time has managed to implement several major joint projects.
In particular, a gas desulfurization plant was built in 2013 at the Galkynysh largest field.
As part of its merger with LG International Corporation, Hyundai Engineering Co.,Ltd launched several new process units at the Turkmenbashi Refinery Complex (TKNPZ).
And in Kiyanly village of Balkan province a new gas-chemical complex has been launched to produce 386 thousand tons of high density polyethylene and 81 thousand tons of polypropylene per year. It should be noted that these products are manufactured based on advanced and environmentally friendly technologies. In this regard, it should be noted that this enterprise has already received a special award from TXF from the UK at the design stage, as one of the ten best environmentally friendly projects in Europe and Eurasia in 2014. The cost of the project, which was implemented by Hyundai Engineering Co.,Ltd. jointly with Korean LG International Corporation and Japanese TOYO Engineering Corporation, was more than 3.4 billion US dollars.
It should also be emphasised that considerable work has been done to provide the complex with highly qualified personnel. Under Kiyanli, the company opened a specialist training centre - a platform for studying the theory and carrying out practical training for plant specialists. More than a hundred Turkmen workers involved in construction works in Kiyanli are being trained at the Centre. The Centre also provides advanced training for specialists working at the MCC and other Turkmen industrial enterprises. This training expands the prospects and opportunities for specialists, who are then employed by Hyundai at other construction sites.
“As a major blue fuel supplier to Central Asia, Turkmenistan is among the world's leading energy countries and is well positioned to increase gas production in the coming years. In this regard, it is a great honor for Hyundai Engineering Co., Ltd. to continue participating in projects important for the oil and gas industry of Turkmenistan,” reads the letter to the editorial office of Turkmenportal.
