Today, within the framework of the International exhibition dedicated to the 25th anniversary of Turkmenistan's neutrality, a video conference was held on the theme "Preserving the unique nature and ecological system of Turkmenistan-the key to sustainable development", organized by the Ministry of agriculture and environmental protection of Turkmenistan.

The United Nations Development Program (UNDP) participated in the conference.

Participants presented their experience and results based on the implementation of projects in the field of environmental protection, climate change, agriculture, water resources management, and marine environment protection initiatives.

Ms. Natya Natsvlishvili, acting permanent representative of UNDP in Turkmenistan, noted in her speech:

"Climate change remains one of the most acute problems of the modern world. Countries need to rethink and redefine development trajectories for more sustainable paths. UNDP fully supports the commitments of the government of Turkmenistan regarding environmental sustainability and the Paris agenda, and is ready to continue to develop cooperation in these areas."
