Turkmenistan will launch a Virtual Museum-collections of historical values online to mark the 25th anniversary of its permanent neutrality status, which will be celebrated in December this year. This was announced today at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers.
According to Deputy Prime Minister for culture and media Mahrijemal Mammedova, a single electronic database of Museum values has already been created, as well as official Internet sites of major museums in the country, where, in particular, the service for selling electronic tickets is being introduced.
The project "Virtual Museum" was developed by Turkmen specialists based on the study of world experience. Preparation and verification of his first video was carried out in two exhibition halls of the State Museum of the State cultural center.
After hearing the information, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov stressed the importance of using digital technologies to promote the country's rich cultural heritage.
"The implementation of the "Virtual Museum" project and, in General, the organization of virtual tourism will significantly expand the number of visitors to our centers of culture, and many categories of citizens will virtually visit the objects," Berdimuhamedov said.
Noting the need to continue using modern technologies as actively as possible in organizing the work of cultural institutions, the head of state gave the Deputy Prime Minister specific instructions, the state news Agency of Turkmenistan reports.
