Turkmenistan held online negotiations with the export credit Agency of Japan

The implementation of existing agreements in the field of financial and investment cooperation and prospects for cooperation in this area were discussed at the negotiations in the format of a videoconference held at the State Bank for foreign economic Affairs with representatives of the State export and investment Insurance Agency of Japan (Nippon Export and Investment Insurance (NEXI), the state news Agency of Turkmenistan reports.

The chemical industry, the oil and gas processing industry, the electric power industry, the transport and communication sector, the introduction of advanced technologies, agriculture and other industries where combining efforts is seen as the most effective are among the most relevant areas of partnership between business circles of the two countries.

In this regard, it was emphasized that Turkmenistan and Japan have successful experience in implementing joint infrastructure projects in various fields, insurance services for which were provided by NEXI.

An example of this is the loan agreements between the State Bank for foreign economic Affairs and the Japan Bank for international cooperation (JBIC), signed in recent years to Finance the construction of high-tech facilities in the oil and gas complex, electric power and chemical industries.

At the moment, with the participation of NEXI, the state concerns "Türkmenhimiýa" and "Türkmengaz" have implemented five projects totaling 3.63 billion us dollars. Currently, Japanese companies are building a 432-megawatt gas turbine power plant in the Lebap velayat commissioned by the Ministry of energy of Turkmenistan.

During the online discussion, specific proposals were made for further cooperation in the context of the "open door" policy pursued by the head of Turkmenistan.
