“Ýigit” tomatoes under the brand "Mahmal" were highly appreciated by consumers in the United Arab Emirates, where a significant batch of goods was exported.
Thanks to their excellent characteristics, branded tomatoes are sold in the Carrefour retail network in the Premium Vegetables sections – "top-grade Vegetables", reports the "BT" publication.
Carrefour is a French retail company established in 1957. The company now has more than 15,130 stores worldwide, including in the UAE.
Agamyrat Charyev, the head of ES “Ýigit”, tells the publication about the successful enterprise:
- Last season, our company delivered small batches of goods to Carrefour, and only after our product received a high rating, we signed a seasonal contract for the supply of up to 100 tons of tomatoes per month to the UAE.
We are proud that Turkmen goods are in demand in foreign markets, and that we have the opportunity to export our products in large volume. In the future, we aim to export other products besides tomatoes.
Despite the fact that tomatoes are delivered to the Dubai market from several regions, our crop is in high demand. Since the Carrefour chain is also an online trade, positive reviews of Turkmen tomatoes are left by customers of online stores.
In the upcoming season, we plan to establish cooperation with prestigious retail chains in Russia and other countries.
