Serdar Geldiyev and Shohrat Soyunov will continue their career in the Malaysia Super League

Turkmen midfielder Serdar Geldiyev and defender Shohrat Soyunov will continue their careers at the Malaysian club PDRM FA. This was reported by the site TheStar.

This information was confirmed by the PDRM FA coach Ishak Kunju Mohamed, the coach was happy with how Serdar Geldiyev and Shohrat Soyunov have integrated with the team.

"They have looked imposing, and that is what we want from them. We had a South Korean with us, but that transfer did not materialise. We are looking for one more foreign player." — Ishak Kunju Mohame said.

The PDRM FA is based in Kuala Lumpur. In the 2019 season, the team played in the second tier of Malaysian football and, taking fourth place, qualified for the Malaysia Super League based on the results of butt matches. Thus, the team this season will perform in the top division of the country. The new season starts on February 28th.

27-year-old Shohrat Soyunov began his professional career as a football player in the FC HTTU in Ashgabat, in which he won the 2014 AFC President’s Cup. From 2015 to 2018, he played for FC Altyn Asyr, in which he became the country's champion for three consecutive years. In 2016, he was recognized as the best player in the championship of Turkmenistan. Since the beginning of 2019, he defended the colors of FC Ahal. Shohrat Soyunov was played 32 matches for the Turkmenistan national football team. He is a participant of the 2013 Commonwealth of Independent States Cup, qualifying tournaments of the 2018 FIFA World Cup and the 2019 AFC Asian Cup.

32-year-old Serdar Geldiyev began his career also in the FC HTTU. He is a participant of the 2006 Commonwealth of Independent States Cup. Since 2015, he playing for the FC Altyn Asyr. Previously, the footballer played for the Turkmen clubs FC Ashgabat, FC Balkan and FC Ahal. He debuted for the Turkmenistan national football team on May 18, 2008 in a friendly match against Oman. He played for the Olympic team of Turkmenistan at the 2010 Asian Games in Guangzhou. He has played 24 matches for the Turkmenistan national football team.
