Baroque music concert held at the Turkmen National Conservatory

 A concert of baroque music was held in the Great Hall of the Turkmen National Conservatory in Ashgabat, the Golden Age Internet newspaper reported.

The concert dedicated to the work of European composers of the 16th-17th centuries began with the music of Johann Sebastian Bach performed by flutist Emir Bayramgeldiyev. Along with the five works of Bach, the works of Antonio Vivaldi, Giuseppe Tartini, Georg Friedrich Handel, Domenico Scarlatti were played.

The concert was attended by People’s Artist of Turkmenistan Gulnar Nuryeva (soprano), Honored Artists of Turkmenistan Islam Jumayev (baritone), Bibijemal Amanova (soprano), Vladimir Mkrtumov (piano) and his student Leyla Babayeva, and Ibragim Orazov (violin), Aybolek Muhiyeva (piano), Emir Bayramgeldiyev (flute).

An ovation was greeted to the sonata by Giuseppe Tartini “The Devil's Trill” performed by violinist Ibragim Orazov. Johann Bach’s popular work “Toccata and Fugue in D minor” written for organ, was adapted for piano. The virtuoso performance of Leyla Abayeva created the effect of immersion in the world of organ music.

The final chord was a fragment of "Hallelujah" from the oratorio "Messiah" by George Friedrich Handel performed by a string orchestra conducted by Tahir Atayev. The concert of works of musical baroque was enthusiastically accepted by the public.

The organizer of the musical evening was the department of the chamber ensemble of the Turkmen National Conservatory. Concertmaster- winner of international competitions Stella Faramazova.
