Turkmen bakhshi Kerven Yovbosarov took the first place of the International festival of bakhshi in Termez (Uzbekistan), reports the National Information Agency of Uzbekistan.
The festival was attended by over 160 participants from more than 74 countries, representatives of UNESCO, ISESCO, as well as honored guests from Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and Afghanistan.
According to the decision of the jury the main prize – the Grand Prix contest, held in the framework of the International festival of the art of the bakhshi, received Ulzhan Baybusinova from Kazakhstan. First place was awarded Kerven Yovbosarov from Turkmenistan and the people's bakhshi of Uzbekistan Abdunazar Poyonov. Second place was awarded to Ilgam Baibuldin from Russia, as well as Ashik Ali and Ashik Shamir from Azerbaijan. Gulnara Allamberganova from Karakalpakstan and Kim Huo Sung of South Korea were handed diplomas of the third degree.
The winners were awarded cash prizes, special diplomas and statuettes of the festival. The solemn event ended with a large concert program with the participation of masters of art, bakhshi and young performers.
