During a meeting between Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Mahri Bashimova and UNICEF Representative in Turkmenistan Jalpa Ratna, the implementation of joint projects in education, social protection, and sustainable development were discussed, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

Particular emphasis was placed on the joint implementation of the objectives arising from the UNICEF Country Development Programme for Turkmenistan for 2026-2030.

After discussing the development of preschool education, the parties emphasized the importance of adopting the National Strategy for Early Childhood Development for 2026-2030.

The development of the social work system was also discussed, including training specialists, creating new jobs, and improving institutional mechanisms in this area.

The parties also discussed issues related to the implementation of projects to develop inclusive educational infrastructure, as well as the preparation of the National Program for Child Protection and Justice for Children, the source noted.
