Today, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Mahri Bashimova and Regional Director of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) for Eastern Europe and Central Asia Ms. Florence Bauer, as well as UNFPA Country Director in Turkmenistan Ms. Chinwe Ogbonna discussed the implementation of the UNFPA Country Programme for Turkmenistan for 2026-2030.

The parties also discussed cooperation in reproductive and maternal health, promoting gender equality, and fostering healthy social norms among young people. The parties noted the high level of cooperation between Turkmenistan and the UNFPA, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

In conclusion, expressing mutual interest in further developing the partnership, the parties confirmed their readiness to implement joint projects within the framework of the new Country Program.
