Liverpool's Egyptian striker Mohamed Salah announced his departure from the English club at the end of the current season. The player made the announcement in a video message posted on his X social media page.
"Unfortunately, this day has come. I will be leaving Liverpool at the end of the season. I would like to start by saying that I could never have imagined how deeply this club, this city, these people would become a part of my life," Salah said.
The footballer thanked everyone who was involved with the club during his time there – his teammates from past and current years, as well as the fans.
Salah has been with Liverpool since 2017. During this time, the 33-year-old forward has won two English Premier League titles, the FA Cup, League Cup, and Community Shield, as well as the Champions League, UEFA Super Cup, and FIFA Club World Cup. This season, he has made 34 appearances and scored 10 goals.
