Today, the Islamic Republic of Pakistan celebrates its national holiday, Pakistan Day.

On this occasion, Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov sent sincere congratulations and best wishes to Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, as well as to the entire people of the country, the State News Agency of Turkmenistan reports.

In particular, the congratulatory message notes that relations between Turkmenistan and Pakistan, based on the principles of equality, mutual respect, understanding, and trust, are steadily developing.

"Our country attaches great importance to further expanding bilateral cooperation and taking it to a new level," the Turkmen leader emphasized.

Taking the opportunity, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov wished Asif Ali Zardari and Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif good health and well-being, and the people of Pakistan peace, further progress and prosperity.
